The League of Legends World Cup moves to Europe

After several rumors, it now seems official, the news was reported by the Upcomer website and then also relaunched by Dot Esports.

The 2021 League of Legends World Cup, originally announced in China, will take place in Europe.

As it turns out, Riot Games appears to have had a hard time securing travel to China for its production team. Furthermore, again according to what Upcomer reported, as of August 20, the LCS teams had not yet managed to obtain visas to enter China.

The LOL 2021 World Cup should be held in China in several cities, as previously announced: Shanghai, Qingdao, Chengdu and Shenzhen were to host the world championship for the second year in a row.

The last time Europe hosted the League of Legends World Cup was 2019!
